I’m 9 weeks and I tried to find the baby’s heartbeat on the home Doppler - no luck. I bet it’s too early, but I’ve seen lots of YouTube videos of people being able to find the heartbeat at 9 weeks at home with their Doppler. Thoughts???

I am 10 weeks today and just found mine, but I had to prop 2 big pillows under my butt to do it! I had been trying for over a week

I just bought one and am waiting for it to come in. I’m almost 9 weeks and I’m kinda hoping it takes a little longer to come in so I don’t scare myself for no reason if it’s just too early to find the heartbeat!
Mine comes with a book with tips from an OB on how to do it, but I’ll definitely be watching some videos too. Babies are just so tiny right now it’ll probably be easier to find it in a few weeks

It took me awhile to hear my son’s heartbeat. I am also more fluffy so there was more to go through. lol try not to stress. It’s tricky to figure out.

I honestly hate dopplers. Every board has soooo many posts about the Doppler causing so much stress. Even medical professionals have a hard time finding baby especially at 9 weeks. I would bring your Doppler into your OB and have them help you. But I don’t think there’s any concern, still early

I found mine at 9 and 5 ! Although I must add I’m a labor and delivery nurse so I am pretty experienced at navigating Dopplers, ultrasounds etc and the angles. Anything this early gestation will be very much so in the pelvis pubic area and it does take a while , good luck!!

I have a fetal Doppler haven’t used that thing in over three years. This is my third baby and I honestly don’t use it until around 12weeks. I believe the earliest I heard it was 10 weeks. I just don’t want to stress myself out
There’s a mom on here that’s used it and found her baby’s heartbeat early on, but she has multiple babies. Is the your first pregnancy? If yes it’s easier to find when you’re 12weeks. I hope this helps!

@Jess371121,
ohh sometimes if you drink something sweet it helps with the movement. Then it’s easier to get hear beat I would give that a try to help :).

I have been able to find mine since 8w2d. I think a lot of it depends on where baby is and your personal anatomy. I aim the probe pretty low and point in downwards. I have better luck finding it quickly with an empty bladder. I see why they are discouraged... I get pretty anxious if I can't find baby right away.
